We will start with Adastral Road, Adastral was the name of the building the Royal Flying Corps later the RAF named there headquaters in London, Ad Astra was the RFC's motto and so joining it together with the L from London we have Adastral. (Ad Astra means to the stars). As some of the older residents on the heath will know the Pilot public house started life as the Fighter Pilot.
I will list the roads and then the pilot they were named after. Leroyod Wing commander Roderick "Babe" awarded Victoria cross in 1940 5/2/13 - 24/1/96.
